In the forest, on our land, is a habitat tree. I saw the light that captured the new growth of the Ocean Spray blooms contrasted by the dark and dead tree with wood pecker pock holes in the background. I thought it was a beautiful juxtaposition of old and new, dark and light, blurry and sharp focus. My intent was to capture the scene on canvas.
